After realizing the Internet industry, which often requires design skill, I would like to
experiment with learning all about IT, marketing and writing/copywriting.
I am sure it will quite complement with my skills of software development and project management.
As, writing is just a medium of communication, the broader focus would be about the science and art of communication, on paper or online.
I was trying to see if I can do design too. Because of this, I was trying my hand into the CalArt UX/UI design course.
Turns out I can't do design.
From the extent I learned, design is a logical and creative process. For this type of personality, they might be more suited for it.
I can scratch something, but I will not be as good.
It doesn't mean I am bad at it and will forever be bad at it. It is just I don't like to think about design decision and I will never be the best.

In a way, you can say for internet, because of the requirement of design skill, the following personality will have an advantage.
Logician (Introverted thinking as the first stack)
Debater (Introverted thinking as the second stack)
Entrepreneur (Introverted thinking as second stack)
Virtuoso (Introverted thinking as the second stack)
Advocate (Introverted thinking as the third stack)
I have made the commitment to learn more about communication from a MOOC course from coursera.
Aiming to understand the theories behind communication from an academic standpoint, and become a better communicator.

With the deteriorating situation here in Canada, I was trying to see if I can come up a solution to the biggest problem
now here in Canada. See courses on Coursera for economics,
sociology and communication.
They are a good introduction and also provide a lot of leading resources that I can keep exploring.

I finished reading this short book on leadership when at a leadership study group. The idea of leadership from this book is more descriptive and set as a good benchmark for being a good leader. It is filled with lots of personal antedote and experience from the writer. A good introductary and personal book into the concept of leadership I would say. See book here.
Published in 2004, this is unapologetic and raw as it can be. In this book, it takes
about strategies to prompt people to take more actions.
Taking action has always been one of my shortcoming. There is a saying that, besides
the ability to think and analyze, there should also be the ability to not think and
the ability to be at peace.
Based on this book, I find out the strategies to take more actions is by listing all
the productive actions I can do everything, and put them into big category, and
whenever I am idle, I will just pick one thing from the list and do it, whether it
is 1. learning something (talking certifications, taking classes or go to events),
2. going through daily errands (grocery, hygience, cooking), 3. taking to people
(asking for opportunity, raising status, educating others, writing articles), making
something (coding, craft, video project, business project), and entertainment
(facebook, youtube, netflix, instagram).
There are strategies on cutting unnecessary actions too, prompt the question "How
important is the project that I am working on" or "How important is the project that
I am about to start working on", or when fail to do something, ask the question "so
what".
Lastly, it talks about the merit of individualism, a revelation about not trying to
replying on other people, because replying on people stifles actions.

This book gives me a bigger perspective of software development and IT. In this
book, a executive team of IT Operations, Support Service, Application Development,
QA, Cybersecurity, Network Technology, work together, within a bigger business
environment of sales, business operations, marketing, and try to make IT work.
It gives me a new perspective of the history of software, the time when there is no
git, there is no DevOps, there is no CI/CD, and help me appreciate DevOps a bit
more.
It also helps me appreciate cloud a bit more.
